On the afternoon of June 28, 2012, our house, along with 65 others, burned to the ground in a fast-moving wildfire in the Rocky Mountains. These reflections on losing our home to a Rocky Mountain Wildfire in the Western U.S. We have been married 35 years. Both of us are professors, one of history and one a researcher in public health. Sophie is our dog. We write the blog together.
