Audio Post Its been a quiet week Sept 20 2012

It has been a quiet week in Lake Woebegone. I made this comment to a younger colleague who did not know the reference. Of course, the statement is in jest. It was anything but a quiet week in Lake Woebegone. It was anything but a quiet week at my office.

So, to explain why I thought the statement was prefect for the day we had all had, I embarked on Garrison Keillor’s tale of the Messiah and Donkey Basket Ball. The man who sings a lead in the local Messiah is also a lead donkey basket ball player. The times overlap. The accompanist turns two pages at once and he is out of having to sing the hard notes and gets out in time to play donkey basketball.

Some days are like that. You get to duck the hard part you had been dreading and you get to do what you need to do.

I have two new stools I put together tonight and work at the office should be able to proceed now. Someone turned two pages today.
